NARRATIVE SUMMARY
Daily Summary of Events
1-5 May 69: HMM-364 flew 631 sorties for 171.4 flight hours, lifting 58.2 tons of cargo, 1,061 troops/passengers and expended 450 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Twenty-five medevac missions carried 29 Emergency, 18 Priority and 10 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operations and Units: Oklahoma Hills, Victory Dragon, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Four enemy fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits. 6-10 May 69: HMM-364 flew 788 sorties for 202.1 flight hours, lifting 63.8 tons of cargo, 1,401 troops/passengers and expended 2,325 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Sixtey-two medevac missions carried 73 Emergency, 42 Priority and 87 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operations and Units: Oklahoma Hills, Victory Dragon, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Eight enemy fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits. 11-15 May 69: HMM-364 flew 585 sorties for 165.4 flight hours, lifting 77.5 tons of cargo, 649 troops/passengers and expended 900 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Forty-five medevac missions carried 41 Emergency, 57 Priority and 47 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operations and Units: Oklahoma Hills, Victory Dragon, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Fifteen enemy fire incidents were reported with the following aircraft receiving hits; YK-1 one hit, YK-2 three hits, YK-8 scrap metal damage and YK-12 7/8 three hits. 16-20 May 69: HMM-364 flew 801 sorties for 211.1 flight hours, lifting 107.2 tons of cargo, 1,655 troops/passengers and expending 3,250 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Thirty-seven medevac missions carried 47 Emergency, 38 Priority and 12 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operations and Units: Oklahoma Hills, Victory Dragon, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Five enemy fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving 3 hits. 21-25 May 69: HMM-364 flew 697 sorties for 192.7 flight hours, lifting 31.5 tons of cargo, 1,475 troops/passengers and expending 1000 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Sixty-three medevac missions carried 40 Emergency, 46 Priority and 53 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Oklahoma Hills, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Five enemy fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits. 26-31 May 69: HMM-364 flew 990 sorties for 227.4 flight hours, lifting 121.7 tons of cargo, 1,690 troops/passengers and expended 500 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Fifty-six medevac missions carried 29 Emergency, 57 Priority and 64 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operations and Units: Oklahoma Hills, Pipestone Canyon, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Four enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-2 receiving one hit, and YK-20 receiving two hits with one WIA. To recap the month of May, HMM-364 flew 4,342 sorties for 1,177.2 flight hours during the period with an average availability of 8 aircraft, lifting 8,101 troops/passengers and 460.1 tons of cargo. 288 medevac missions evacuated a total of 790 evacuees of which 259 were Emergency, 258 Priority and 273 Routine. A total of 8,425 rounds of .50 caliber ammunition was expended. |
